The Sonnet Solo10G T5 Thunderbolt 5 Adapter (SOLO10G-TB5) adds multi-Gigabit 10GBASE-T networking to compatible Thunderbolt and USB4 systems through a compact bus-powered enclosure.
The adapter uses a Marvell AQC113C controller and supports 10GBASE-T over Cat 6A cabling, together with 5GBASE-T, 2.5GBASE-T and 1000BASE-T over Cat 5e or better cabling.
Thunderbolt 5 provides ample PCIe bandwidth for full-speed 10GbE operation. The adapter is also compatible with supported Thunderbolt 4, Thunderbolt/USB4 and Thunderbolt 3 systems subject to Sonnet's operating-system requirements.
Features include jumbo frames, flow control, Receive-Side Scaling, interrupt coalescing, checksum offload, TCP segmentation offload and large receive offload. AVB is supported on compatible Mac systems and networks.
The aluminium enclosure is fanless and bus powered. Its captive 0.3-metre Thunderbolt 5 cable is secured within the case but can be replaced if required.
