The Sonnet McFiver PCIe Card combines three workstation expansion functions on one PCIe card: 10Gb Ethernet, two 10Gbps USB-C ports and two M.2 NVMe SSD sockets.
Designed for an x8 PCIe slot, it can add high-speed networking, external USB connectivity and internal NVMe storage without consuming three separate expansion slots.

Sonnet McFiver PCIe Card – Product Overview
The Sonnet McFiver PCIe Card, part number G10E-USBC-M2-E, is a multifunction PCIe 3.0 x8 expansion card combining 10Gb Ethernet, two USB-C ports and dual M.2 NVMe storage.
For systems with limited expansion slots, McFiver can consolidate networking, external-device connectivity and fast internal SSD storage onto a single full-height PCIe card.
10Gb Ethernet
The RJ45 port uses a Marvell AQC113S controller and supports 10GbE, 5GbE, 2.5GbE, Gigabit Ethernet and 100Mb Ethernet. Sonnet specifies up to 100 metres at 10GbE using Cat 6A cable or up to 55 metres using Cat 6.
Two M.2 NVMe SSD Slots
Two internal M-keyed slots accept M.2 2280 NVMe PCIe SSDs. S.M.A.R.T. reporting is supported, and software RAID 0 or RAID 1 can be configured under supported macOS, Windows and Linux environments.
Two 10Gbps USB-C Ports
The two USB-C ports support USB 3.2 Gen 2 operation at up to 10Gbps and backwards-compatible USB devices. Each port advertises up to 7.5W of bus power for compatible peripherals.
Jumbo Frames And Network Offloads
The Ethernet interface supports jumbo frames up to 16,352 bytes, with 9000-byte operation under macOS, plus features including flow control, RSS, interrupt coalescing, checksum offload, TSO and LRO.
PCIe 3.0 x8 Interface
McFiver is a full-height, half-length-plus PCIe 3.0 x8 card. Sonnet supports installation in compatible computers and supported Thunderbolt-to-PCIe expansion systems with an available x8 slot.
Boot And RAID Notes
On supported Macs, booting is supported from a single installed NVMe SSD rather than a RAID set. Sonnet states that Windows and Linux booting from the card's NVMe SSDs is not supported, and booting from devices attached to the USB-C ports is not supported.

Sonnet Technology Delivery Information
Generally, next working day delivery services (UK Mainland) are available on standard Sonnet Technology Delivery orders placed before 2 pm (subject to stock availability).
Non-timed deliveries should be delivered between 9 am and 6 pm.
Orders placed after 2 pm on Fridays and weekends will be processed as normal the following Monday.
Orders placed on Bank Holidays will be processed the next working day.
