Sonnet Echo 20 Thunderbolt 5 SecureDock – Product Overview
The Sonnet Echo 20 Thunderbolt 5 SecureDock (ECHO-DK20-T5) is a high-bandwidth enterprise docking station built for secure or storage-restricted environments where internal SSD storage is not permitted.
Thunderbolt 5 Connectivity
Three Thunderbolt 5 ports provide one computer connection and two downstream ports supporting Thunderbolt 5, 4 and 3 devices, USB4 v2, USB4, USB peripherals and compatible displays.
10Gb Ethernet
The integrated 10GBASE-T RJ45 interface supports 10GbE, 5GbE, 2.5GbE, 1GbE and 100Mb/s links. Sonnet also specifies AVB support under macOS.
Direct HDMI And DisplayPort Outputs
The dock includes separate HDMI and DisplayPort outputs. Under Windows, HDMI 2.1 supports up to 8K 60Hz; under macOS the HDMI output operates as HDMI 2.0b up to 4K 60Hz. The DisplayPort 2.0 output supports up to 4K 144Hz, subject to host capability.
Nine 10Gbps USB Ports
Four USB-A and five USB-C ports operate at up to 10Gbps. One front USB-C port provides up to 15W, while the remaining USB-C ports provide up to 7.5W each.
Card Readers, Audio And Security
Dedicated UHS-II SD and microSD readers support removable media workflows even though the dock deliberately omits internal SSD storage. Audio connections include headset, microphone and stereo RCA line-out ports, and a Kensington lock slot supports physical security.
140W Host Charging
The Thunderbolt 5 host port provides up to 140W to a compatible laptop. A 240W universal power adapter and 0.8m Thunderbolt 5 cable are included.
