The Sonnet Solo5G USB-C to 5 Gigabit Ethernet Adapter (SOLO5G-USBC) provides multi-Gigabit wired networking for compatible Mac, Windows and Linux computers with USB-C or Thunderbolt ports.
The adapter supports 5GBASE-T, 2.5GBASE-T, 1000BASE-T and 100BASE-TX over Cat 5e or better cabling at distances up to 100 metres, allowing faster networking without requiring 10GbE infrastructure.
A captive 0.15-metre USB-C cable connects directly to the host. The compact adapter is bus powered, so no external power supply is required.
The Realtek RTL8157 controller provides 5GbE connectivity with jumbo-frame support up to 16352 bytes. Sonnet notes a 1500-byte maximum frame size under macOS.
At just 37g including its cable, Solo5G is suited to mobile workstations, laptops and compact desktops that need reliable multi-Gigabit Ethernet.

Generally, next working day delivery services (UK Mainland) are available on standard Sonnet Technology Delivery orders placed before 2 pm (subject to stock availability).
