The SymplyPRO XTL 8 – LTO-7 is a compact 1U automated tape library with eight cartridge slots and one half-height LTO-7 drive. Choose native 6Gb SAS or 8Gb Fibre Channel connectivity.
Eight LTO-7 cartridges provide up to 48TB native / 120TB compressed media capacity. The library combines up to 300MB/s native drive performance with two removable magazines, a front mail slot, barcode automation, remote browser management, AES-256 hardware encryption, WORM and LTFS support.

The SymplyPRO XTL 8 – LTO-7 brings unattended LTO automation into a compact 1U rack footprint. It is designed for backup, archive and offline-retention workflows that need robotic media handling without the capacity or rack-space requirements of a larger library.
The chassis houses eight active cartridge slots and one half-height LTO-7 drive. Each LTO-7 cartridge stores 6TB native / 15TB compressed, giving a fully populated library up to 48TB native / 120TB compressed capacity, with native drive throughput up to 300MB/s.
Choose native 6Gb SAS via SFF-8088 or 8Gb Fibre Channel. The tape drive and library robotics are presented as separate LUNs, so the host HBA or initiator must support multiple-LUN discovery.
Two removable four-cartridge magazines simplify bulk loading and off-site rotation, while a dedicated import/export mail slot enables controlled media exchange. An integrated barcode reader supports automatic cartridge identification and inventory management.
Front-panel controls are complemented by password-protected browser management for status monitoring, inventory, health reporting, event logs, diagnostics and firmware administration. Email and SNMP alerting support unattended operation.
LTO-7 supports AES-256 hardware encryption, WORM media and LTFS with compatible host software. The LTO-7 drive reads and writes LTO-6 media and can read LTO-5 cartridges, supporting migration from earlier generations.
The XTL 8 measures approximately 44 × 482 × 806mm and weighs around 11kg without tape drive/media. Rack slides are included and the library is covered by a 3-year manufacturer warranty.
