The SymplyPRO XTL 40 – LTO-7 Fibre Channel is a 3U modular automated tape library with 40 cartridge slots, one half-height LTO-7 drive and native 8Gb Fibre Channel connectivity.
Its 40-slot base module provides up to 240TB native / 600TB compressed LTO-7 media capacity and can scale through 15 expansion modules to 640 cartridges. Browser management, barcode automation, removable magazines, AES-256 encryption, WORM and LTFS support make it suitable for unattended enterprise archive and backup.

The SymplyPRO XTL 40 – LTO-7 Fibre Channel combines a 40-slot 3U base library with one half-height LTO-7 drive and native 8Gb Fibre Channel connectivity. It is designed for environments that need a scalable automated tape platform without committing to the larger 6U XTL 80 chassis.
Each LTO-7 cartridge provides 6TB native / 15TB compressed capacity and the half-height drive delivers up to 300MB/s native throughput. A fully populated base module therefore provides up to 240TB native / 600TB compressed media capacity.
This exact configuration uses an 8Gb Fibre Channel LTO-7 drive for integration with compatible Fibre Channel hosts and SAN environments. The drive and library robotics are exposed as separate LUNs and require a host adapter or initiator with multiple-LUN discovery enabled.
The XTL 40 can attach up to 15 expansion modules. Each 3U module adds 40 cartridge slots and supports up to three half-height drives or one full-height drive, giving the complete library up to 640 cartridges, 48 half-height drives or 16 full-height drives.
Two removable magazines per module, five import/export mail slots, integrated barcode reading and a 4-inch front display simplify bulk media handling and local operation. Secure browser management supports status monitoring, media movement, diagnostics, inventory/health reporting and firmware administration.
The XTL 40 platform supports native SAS and Fibre Channel drives as well as optional Ethernet and Thunderbolt interface modules. This Fibre Channel product is supplied as the native FC configuration.
AES-256 hardware encryption, LTO WORM and LTFS support enable secure long-term retention. The robotic mechanism is rated at 2,000,000 MSBF picks, the base library uses a single PSU as standard with redundant power optional, and rack slides are included.

Generally, next working day delivery services (UK Mainland) are available on standard Symply Delivery orders placed before 2 pm (subject to stock availability).
