The SymplyPRO XTL 80 – LTO-7 Fibre Channel is an enterprise-class 6U automated tape library with 80 cartridge slots, one half-height LTO-7 drive and native 8Gb Fibre Channel connectivity.
The base module provides up to 480TB native / 1.2PB compressed LTO-7 media capacity and can scale through six expansion modules to 560 cartridges. Redundant power, barcode automation, removable magazines, browser management, AES-256 encryption, WORM and LTFS support suit high-capacity unattended archive environments.

The SymplyPRO XTL 80 – LTO-7 Fibre Channel combines an 80-slot 6U base library with one half-height LTO-7 drive and native 8Gb Fibre Channel connectivity. It is the high-density XTL platform for organisations that need greater starting capacity, higher drive density and redundant power as standard.
Each LTO-7 cartridge stores 6TB native / 15TB compressed and the half-height drive delivers up to 300MB/s native throughput. A fully populated base module therefore provides up to 480TB native / 1.2PB compressed media capacity.
This exact configuration uses an 8Gb Fibre Channel LTO-7 drive for direct integration with compatible Fibre Channel hosts and SAN environments. The tape drive and library robotics are exposed as separate LUNs for host discovery.
The XTL 80 can attach up to six 6U expansion modules. Each module adds 80 cartridge slots and supports up to six half-height or three full-height drives, scaling the complete system to 560 cartridges, 42 half-height drives or 21 full-height drives.
Two removable magazines and ten mail slots per module support bulk media handling and controlled exchange. Integrated barcode reading, a 5.7-inch front display and secure browser management provide local and remote administration, diagnostics, health reporting and firmware management.
The XTL 80 platform supports native SAS and Fibre Channel drives as well as optional Ethernet and Thunderbolt interface modules. This product is the native 8Gb Fibre Channel LTO-7 configuration.
Redundant power supplies are standard on XTL 80. AES-256 hardware encryption, LTO WORM and LTFS support provide secure long-term and offline retention, while the robotic mechanism is rated at 3,000,000 MSBF picks.
