The Sonnet Echo II DV Rackmount Thunderbolt Expansion System (ECHO-2RDV-TB3) is a 2U professional PCIe expansion chassis designed for two bandwidth-intensive, non-GPU PCIe cards. Its distinctive dual-interface architecture dedicates one Thunderbolt interface to each card slot.
The chassis provides two x16 mechanical, x4 electrical PCIe 3.1 slots for full-length, full-height, single-width cards. Each slot operates through its own Thunderbolt interface rather than sharing a single PCIe path.
When both interfaces are connected to host Thunderbolt ports with independent PCIe bandwidth, Sonnet specifies up to 2880 MB/s of PCIe bandwidth to each slot simultaneously. Each side can also operate independently, including connection to separate computers.
The system provides four Thunderbolt ports in total. Two can connect to the host computer for maximum dual-card performance, while the secondary ports support compatible downstream Thunderbolt, USB and display devices and provide up to 15W bus power.
A universal 400W internal power supply supports installed cards. Two 6-pin auxiliary PCIe power connections provide up to 75W each for compatible cards requiring supplemental power.
Dual temperature-controlled Noctua fans are rated around 17dBA. The rugged steel 2U enclosure is 19 inches wide, 16.5 inches deep and includes extension rails for rack depths from 16 to 24 inches.
Sonnet's support documentation lists compatible Mac, Windows and Linux systems with suitable Thunderbolt 5, Thunderbolt 4, Thunderbolt/USB4 or Thunderbolt 3 connectivity, subject to Sonnet's platform requirements.

Generally, next working day delivery services (UK Mainland) are available on standard Sonnet Technology Delivery orders placed before 2 pm (subject to stock availability).
Non-timed deliveries should be delivered between 9 am and 6 pm.
