The Sonnet Echo Express SEL Thunderbolt 3 Expansion System (ECHO-EXP-SEL-T3) is a compact one-slot Thunderbolt-to-PCIe chassis for professional low-profile PCIe cards.
Single Low-Profile PCIe Slot
The SEL provides one x8 mechanical, x4 electrical PCIe 3.0 slot for a compatible low-profile card, making it ideal for compact video capture, audio, storage or networking expansion.
40Gbps Thunderbolt Interface
Two Thunderbolt ports provide a host connection plus downstream daisy-chain support. Although this model uses a Thunderbolt 3 controller, Sonnet's current compatibility documentation supports suitable modern Thunderbolt 5, Thunderbolt 4 and USB4 hosts.
Compact Desktop Chassis
The enclosure's small footprint makes it well suited to mobile workstations, DIT carts and desktop installations where only one specialist PCIe card is required.
External Power And Quiet Cooling
A universal 60W external power adapter supplies the installed card, while the variable-speed cooling system manages airflow without the size and noise of a larger multi-slot chassis.
Lifecycle
Sonnet currently lists ECHO-EXP-SEL-T3 as End Of Life (EOL). The newer Thunderbolt 5 replacement is ECHO-EXP-SEL-T5.

Sonnet Technology Delivery Information
Generally, next working day delivery services (UK Mainland) are available on standard Sonnet Technology Delivery orders placed before 2 pm (subject to stock availability).
Non-timed deliveries should be delivered between 9 am and 6 pm.
Orders placed after 2 pm on Fridays and weekends will be processed as normal the following Monday.
Orders placed on Bank Holidays will be processed the next working day.
