OWC Express 4M2 Ultra 206 8TB (SoftRAID License Included) is a four-slot Thunderbolt 5 NVMe M.2 RAID enclosure preconfigured with NVMe SSDs and SoftRAID for immediate use.
It combines high sustained throughput, daisy-chain scalability and SoftRAID-managed redundancy in a compact aircraft-grade aluminum chassis.
With Thunderbolt 5 (80Gb/s) and PCIe 4.0 or later SSDs, Express 4M2 Ultra can deliver up to 6622MB/s real-world performance to support 12K RAW video, 8K multi-cam workflows and large data sets.
Connected to Thunderbolt 5 systems the device can reach up to 6622MB/s; on Thunderbolt 4 or USB4 hosts it can reach up to 3200MB/s; and on Thunderbolt 3 hosts it can reach up to 2800MB/s.
The unit provides two Thunderbolt 5 ports (one host and one downstream), and the downstream port supports daisy-chaining up to five additional Thunderbolt devices plus one USB peripheral.
This SKU ships with NVMe SSDs installed and RAID-configured via SoftRAID, and includes SoftRAID Premium for 3 Years for advanced RAID monitoring and predictive health alerts.
Express 4M2 Ultra supports NVMe M.2 2280 and 2242 single- or double-sided SSDs using PCIe 3.0, 4.0 or 5.0 drives, and supports RAID 0, 1, 4, 5, 10 and JBOD via SoftRAID or another RAID utility.
The solid aircraft-grade aluminum body provides passive cooling and protection while a smart adaptive fan activates only during sustained workloads to avoid noise and thermal throttling.
A single enclosure can be provisioned up to 32TB, and multiple Express 4M2 Ultra units can be daisy-chained to expand up to 128TB as a single volume.
The product includes 3 Years of SoftRAID Premium and 2 Strada licenses for 90 days, plus a Thunderbolt 5 80Gb/s cable for immediate connection.
This product carries a 2 Year OWC Limited Warranty.

Generally, next working day delivery services (UK Mainland) are available on standard OWC Delivery orders placed before 2 pm (subject to stock availability).
Non-timed deliveries should be delivered between 9 am and 6 pm.
Orders placed after 2 pm on Fridays and weekends will be processed as normal the following Monday.
Orders placed on Bank Holidays will be processed the next working day.
