The IBM LTO-6 Tape Cartridge is a rewritable LTO Ultrium 6 data cartridge designed for enterprise backup, archiving and long-term offline data retention.
IBM part number 00V7590 provides 2.5TB of native capacity and up to 6.25TB compressed capacity using the LTO-6 Ultrium format.
The cartridge provides 2.5TB of native storage capacity and up to 6.25TB with 2.5:1 data compression, making it suitable for backup and archive workflows where removable media is required.
LTO-6 media supports transfer speeds of up to 160MB/s when used with compatible LTO-6 tape drives.
The cartridge uses Barium Ferrite (BaFe) magnetic media and contains 846 metres of tape with 2,176 data tracks.
LTO tape provides removable offline storage for backup, archive, retention and offsite media rotation workflows.
The cartridge follows the Linear Tape-Open Ultrium standard for use with compatible LTO Ultrium tape drives and automated tape library systems.
IBM lists LTO-6 media as read/write compatible with LTO-6 and LTO-7 drives. It is not compatible with LTO-8 or newer drives.
This product is the standard rewritable IBM LTO-6 data cartridge with part number 00V7590. IBM lists separate labelled, library-pack and WORM variants under different part numbers.

Generally, next working day delivery services (UK Mainland) are available on standard IBM LTO Tape Delivery orders placed before 2 pm (subject to stock availability).
Non-timed deliveries should be delivered between 9 am and 6 pm.
Orders placed after 2 pm on Fridays and weekends will be processed as normal the following Monday.
Orders placed on Bank Holidays will be processed the next working day.
