The cartridge stores 6TB natively and up to 15TB with 2.5:1 compression.
HPE-Published Media Performance
HPE specifies a media read speed of up to 700MB/s for this cartridge when used with compatible LTO hardware.
Barium Ferrite Media
C7977A uses Barium Ferrite media with 960m of 12.65mm-wide tape, 5.6µm tape thickness and 3,584 data tracks.
Drive Compatibility
HPE lists LTO-7 media as read/write compatible with LTO-7 and LTO-8 drives. It is not compatible with LTO-9 or LTO-10 drives.
Encryption And LTFS

Hewlett Packard Enterprise Delivery Information
Generally, next working day delivery services (UK Mainland) are available on standard Hewlett Packard Enterprise Delivery orders placed before 2 pm (subject to stock availability).
Non-timed deliveries should be delivered between 9 am and 6 pm.
Orders placed after 2 pm on Fridays and weekends will be processed as normal the following Monday.
Orders placed on Bank Holidays will be processed the next working day.
