The HPE Ultrium LTO-9 Data Cartridge is a standard rewritable LTO-9 Ultrium cartridge designed for high-capacity backup, archive and offline data-retention workflows.
HPE product number Q2079A provides 18TB native capacity and up to 45TB compressed capacity using 2.5:1 data compression.
18TB Native Capacity
The cartridge stores 18TB natively and up to 45TB with 2.5:1 compression.
HPE-Published Media Performance
HPE's current QuickSpecs list native transfer speeds up to 400MB/s with compatible full-height LTO-9 drives and up to 1,000MB/s assuming 2.5:1 compression.
Barium Ferrite Media
Q2079A uses Barium Ferrite media with 1,035m of 12.65mm-wide tape, 5.2µm tape thickness and 8,960 data tracks.
Drive Compatibility
HPE lists LTO-9 media as read/write compatible with LTO-9 drives only. LTO-10 drives are not backward compatible with LTO-9 media.
Encryption And LTFS
HPE LTO-9 media supports tape-device AES-256 encryption and LTFS workflows when used with compatible drives and software.
Rewritable Media
This Q2079A cartridge is rewritable media. WORM is a separate HPE media SKU/format and is not built into this RW cartridge.
Archive And Warranty
HPE specifies an archival life of up to 30 years when stored under recommended conditions and provides a limited lifetime warranty.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise Delivery Information
Generally, next working day delivery services (UK Mainland) are available on standard Hewlett Packard Enterprise Delivery orders placed before 2 pm (subject to stock availability).
Non-timed deliveries should be delivered between 9 am and 6 pm.
Orders placed after 2 pm on Fridays and weekends will be processed as normal the following Monday.
