Symply SymplyPRO XTF LTO-10 FH Thunderbolt / SAS Tape Drive is a desktop full-height LTO-10 Ultrium tape drive designed for high-capacity backup and long-term archive workflows. The unit combines Thunderbolt™ 3 host connectivity with 12Gb SAS expansion to support on-workstation and non-Thunderbolt deployments.
The enclosure uses an all-metal chassis with an integrated premium PSU and active cooling, and ships with essential accessories for immediate deployment.
Drive performance for LTO-10 Full Height is up to 400 MB/s native throughput. Capacity options include 40 TB native / 100 TB compressed for LTO-10 Enterprise (Aramid) media and 30 TB native / 75 TB compressed for standard LTO-10 media.
Host connectivity is via dual Thunderbolt™ 3 ports with SymplyLOCK™ cable locking and daisy-chain support, with one port providing up to 60W of device charging. The unit also provides 12Gb SAS connectivity via SAS Host and SAS Expansion ports (via Thunderbolt bridge) to attach non‑Thunderbolt workstations or additional SAS devices.
Hardware AES-256 encryption (app-managed keys) is supported and the drive accepts LTO WORM media for non-erasable, non-rewritable retention. The product is CE, UKCA and FCC Class A certified and RoHS compliant.
The drive supports Linear Tape File System (LTFS) for drag-and-drop tape mounting and interchange. It is compatible with Archiware P5, Hedge Canister, YoYotta, XenData, Veeam Backup & Replication, Veritas NetBackup, Commvault, IBM Spectrum Protect, Arcserve, Retrospect, Bacula and Bareos.
Reliability specifications include MTBF: 250,000 @ 100% Duty Cycle, MSBF (Mean Swaps Before Failure): 100,000, and Load/Unload Cycles: 300,000.
Recommended dry-bulb temperature for LTO-9 and LTO-10 is 15 to 25 °C (59 to 77 °F); allowable 15 to 30 °C (59 to 86 °F). Recommended relative humidity is 20 to 50% (non-condensing); allowable 20 to 80% (non-condensing). Maximum temperature change is 5 °C (41 °F) / hour and maximum humidity change is 5% / hour. Temperature limitation for humidity conditions: LTO-9 and LTO-10: Max Dew Point 22 °C (72 °F). Maximum operating altitude is 3,048 m (10,000 ft) and non-operating altitude is 12,192 m (40,000 ft). Dust concentration should be less than 200 microgram / cubic meter. Shipping conditions are 5 to 45 °C (41 to 113 °F); 10% to 80% non-condensing RH; 26 °C (72 °F) dew point maximum.
