The SymplyPRO Rackmount 1U LTO-7 HH Thunderbolt 3 / SAS Tape Drive combines dual Thunderbolt 3 connectivity with professional LTO-7 tape archiving in a 1U rackmount chassis. One half-height LTO-7 drive is fitted, with a second drive position available for a compatible upgrade.

Ideal for supported Thunderbolt workstation and rack-based workflows, the system also provides separate SFF-8644 SAS host and expansion connections. Each LTO-7 cartridge offers 6TB native archival capacity.

The SymplyPRO Rackmount 1U LTO-7 HH Thunderbolt 3 / SAS Tape Drive combines one fitted half-height LTO-7 tape mechanism with dual Thunderbolt 3 ports and SAS connections in a rugged, space-efficient 1U rackmount chassis. It is designed for direct workstation archiving and professional media backup workflows.

Thunderbolt 3 And SAS Connectivity

Two Thunderbolt 3 ports support compatible host connections and daisy-chaining. Separate SFF-8644 SAS Host and SAS Expansion ports support appropriate server attachment and SAS expansion workflows. The interface distinguishes this model from the direct-SAS-only and dual-10GbE iSCSI editions.

6TB Native LTO-7 Archive Capacity

A compatible LTO-7 cartridge provides 6TB native storage, with up to 15TB compressed capacity when the data achieves the standard 2.5:1 compression ratio. Native throughput is up to 300MB/s per drive. LTO-7 reads and writes LTO-7 and LTO-6 media and reads LTO-5 media only.

Expandable SymplyCABLELESS™ 1U Chassis

This SKU is supplied with one half-height LTO-7 drive; its second internal position is available for a separately purchased compatible upgrade. SymplyCABLELESS™ simplifies service and drive changes without internal cabling. Rackmount hardware, integrated power and front-to-back cooling are designed for long-term archive deployment.
