The SymplyPRO Rackmount 1U LTO-7 HH Ethernet Tape Drive is a network-connected 1U tape appliance supplied with one half-height LTO-7 mechanism. Dual 10GbE SFP+ iSCSI ports allow access from properly configured hosts on a compatible Ethernet network.
The system also provides dedicated Ethernet management and SAS expansion connectivity. Its SymplyCABLELESS™ chassis accommodates a second compatible half-height tape drive, while LTO-7 provides 6TB native archival capacity per cartridge.

The SymplyPRO Rackmount 1U LTO-7 HH Ethernet Tape Drive provides an LTO-7 tape mechanism over a compatible network through dual 10GbE SFP+ iSCSI interfaces. This exact rackmount configuration is supplied with one half-height LTO-7 drive in a two-position 1U chassis, supporting managed professional archiving without dedicating a direct SAS connection to every host.
Two SFP+ 10GbE ports carry iSCSI tape traffic over appropriate network infrastructure. A separate 1GbE management interface supports administration, and an SFF-8644 SAS Expansion port supports compatible additional tape devices. Host systems need suitable iSCSI initiator software and network configuration; this is not a generic SMB file share.
Each LTO-7 cartridge provides 6TB of native archive storage or up to 15TB compressed at a 2.5:1 assumption. Native recording performance is up to 300MB/s per drive, subject to host, network, software and data. An LTO-7 drive reads and writes LTO-6 and LTO-7 media and reads LTO-5 media only.
The compact rackmount enclosure houses one fitted half-height LTO-7 drive; a separately sourced compatible second half-height drive can be installed later using the SymplyCABLELESS™ architecture. Internal power, front-to-back cooling and rack hardware support installation in a professional equipment rack.
Compatible LTFS workflows, WORM media and AES-256 hardware encryption support controlled offline archive storage. Symply's Ethernet 1U family package includes data and cleaning cartridges, SFP+ optical and copper modules, management cable, rack kit, power cables and software entitlements; these may be regional or time-limited.
