The SymplyPRO XTH LTO-8 HH Ethernet Tape Drive combines an expandable two-bay SymplyCABLELESS desktop chassis with Symply's accelerated 10GbE iSCSI-to-SAS architecture. It is designed for shared backup and archive workflows where compatible physical or virtual hosts need access to LTO resources over standard Ethernet.
The chassis ships with one half-height LTO-8 mechanism and supports a second compatible half-height drive. SymplyCABLELESS simplifies servicing, drive replacement and later expansion without replacing the enclosure.
Two independent 10GbE SFP+ interfaces provide high-speed host connectivity. Symply's Ethernet architecture allows multiple compatible hosts or guest operating systems to share tape resources without requiring Fibre Channel infrastructure or a local SAS HBA at every system.
Each fitted LTO-8 half-height drive provides 12TB native / 30TB compressed capacity per cartridge and up to 300MB/s native throughput.
A 12Gb SFF-8644 SAS expansion connection supports additional compatible external LTO resources. The wider Ethernet appliance architecture can expose up to four SAS LTO drives in suitable configurations.
LTFS supports open file-based tape workflows, while AES-256 hardware encryption and LTO WORM media support secure retention, compliance and offline cyber-resilience.
The XTH Ethernet enclosure measures approximately 30 × 21.1 × 13.6cm and weighs around 5.6kg, with a rugged metal-alloy enclosure, integrated PSU and active cooling.

Generally, next working day delivery services (UK Mainland) are available on standard Symply Delivery orders placed before 2 pm (subject to stock availability).
