Designed especially for M4 Max and M3 Ultra Mac Studio systems, Sonnet specifies up to 6000 MB/s PCIe bandwidth to each slot simultaneously when both independent Thunderbolt 5 host connections are used.
The system adds four Thunderbolt 5 ports, a 400W expansion-module power supply, dual auxiliary PCIe power, quiet Noctua cooling and the xMac Studio’s front USB-A hub, power control and SSD storage space.

The Sonnet xMac Studio / Echo II DV T5 (XMAC-STD-IIDVT5) is a professional 3U rackmount system that combines one Mac Studio with two independent high-bandwidth Thunderbolt 5 PCIe expansion paths.
The Echo II DV T5 module provides two x16 mechanical, x4 electrical PCIe 4.0 slots. Each slot has its own Thunderbolt 5 interface, allowing two bandwidth-intensive cards to operate without sharing a single Thunderbolt PCIe path.
When connected to two independent Thunderbolt 5 ports on a suitable M4 Max or M3 Ultra Mac Studio, Sonnet specifies up to 6000 MB/s PCIe bandwidth to each slot simultaneously.
The xMac Studio enclosure provides a front power button, four-port USB-A hub and direct access to the computer's front ports and SD card slot. The open rear keeps cable connections accessible.
The Echo II DV T5 module includes a universal 400W power supply and two 6-pin auxiliary PCIe power connections providing up to 75W each for compatible cards.
Dual temperature-controlled Noctua fans in the expansion module are rated around 17 dBA, while the enclosure guides cool air through the Mac Studio and module from front to rear.
Space beneath the Mac Studio accommodates two compact Thunderbolt or USB SSDs, secured using the supplied adhesive-backed magnets.
