The Sonnet xMac Studio / Echo III T5 (XMAC-STD-III-T5) is the current three-slot Thunderbolt 5 configuration of Sonnet's professional Mac Studio rackmount platform.
The Echo III T5 module supports three full-height, full-length, single-width PCIe cards, or one double-width card plus one single-width card. Its slot layout provides x8/x8, x16/x8 and x8/x4 mechanical/electrical PCIe 3.1 connectivity.
The module provides two Thunderbolt 5 ports and up to 3500 MB/s aggregate PCIe bandwidth. Installed cards share the available host bandwidth through the Echo III PCIe bridge.
The 3U xMac Studio enclosure secures one Mac Studio and provides a dedicated front power button, four-port USB-A hub, direct access to the computer's front ports and SD card slot, and open rear cable access.
A universal 400W power supply supports installed PCIe cards, with a 6-pin auxiliary connection providing up to 75W of supplemental power for compatible hardware.
Space beneath the Mac Studio accommodates two compact Thunderbolt or USB SSDs, while front-to-back airflow supports both the computer and expansion module thermal designs.
