The SanDisk Professional PRO-G40 SSD 1TB (SDPS31H-001T-GBCND) combines high-speed NVMe storage with dual-mode Thunderbolt 3 and USB 3.2 Gen 2 connectivity in a compact, rugged portable enclosure.
For this exact 1TB APFS model, Sandisk lists sequential performance of 2700MB/s read and 1900MB/s write. Performance depends on the host system, interface and workload.
The USB-C connector supports Thunderbolt 3 at 40Gbps as well as USB 3.2 Gen 2 at 10Gbps, making the drive suitable for workflows that move between Thunderbolt and USB-C systems.
This GBCND variant is supplied pre-formatted in APFS for macOS 10.13+ and is Time Machine compatible. It can be reformatted for use with Windows 10+.
The enclosure is rated IP68 for dust and water resistance and is designed to withstand drops of up to 3 metres and crush forces up to 4,000 lb under Sandisk's stated test conditions.
An aluminium core helps pull heat away from the internal NVMe SSD to support sustained performance during intensive transfers and high-resolution media workflows.
The enclosure measures approximately 111 x 58 x 12 mm and weighs about 121.2 g, making it practical as a fast scratch drive, shuttle drive or portable project drive.

Generally, next working day delivery services (UK Mainland) are available on standard SanDisk Professional Delivery orders placed before 2 pm (subject to stock availability).
