The Areca ARC-1886-16I is a PCIe Gen 4.0 internal 16-port Tri-Mode RAID adapter with 8GB DDR4 ECC cache, built for mixed SAS, SATA and NVMe storage environments.
It uses a Tri-mode Dual Core ARM A15 1.6GHz ROC and 8-Lane PCI Express® 4.0 host interface to deliver high throughput and enterprise RAID features.

Areca ARC-1886-16i Product Overview
The Areca ARC-1886-16I is a PCIe Gen 4.0 internal 16-port Tri-Mode RAID adapter designed for demanding database and enterprise storage environments. It combines a Tri-mode Dual Core ARM A15 1.6GHz ROC with 8GB on-board DDR4-2666 SDRAM with ECC protection to accelerate mixed SAS, SATA and NVMe workloads.
Built for dense internal connectivity, the ARC-1886-16I exposes 16 internal ports over 2 x SFF-8654 [x8] connectors and supports a wide range of RAID functions, drive types and management interfaces.
Performance
Host connectivity is 8-Lane PCI Express® 4.0 driven by a Tri-mode Dual Core ARM A15 1.6GHz ROC and 8GB on-board DDR4-2666 SDRAM with ECC Protection to deliver consistent throughput.

The Areca ARC-1886-16I provides 16 x internal ports via 2 x SFF-8654 [x8] drive connectors and is configured for x8 SFF-8654 internal connectivity.
Cache and Protection
On-board cache is 8GB DDR4-2666 with ECC protection and cache protection is available via ARC-1886-CBM; the adapter also supports an optional cache backup module (CBM) protection using SuperCap.

Areca Technology Delivery Information
In general, next working day delivery services (UK Mainland) are available on Areca equipment orders placed before 2pm (subject to stock availability).
We kindly advise you let us preconfigure each Areca RAID (as RAID5, RAID6 etc), so they arrive properly setup, ready to “plug’n’play”.
This is a free service, and takes 1-2 days prior to shipping.
Non-timed deliveries should be delivered between the hours of 9am and 6pm.
Orders placed after 2pm on Fridays and on weekends will be processed as normal the following Monday.
Orders placed on Bank Holidays will be processed the next working day.
