The SymplyPRO XTF LTO-9 FH SAS Tape Drive combines a full-height enterprise LTO mechanism with Symply's professional all-metal desktop enclosure. It is intended for high-volume archive, backup and air-gapped retention where the increased performance and duty-cycle characteristics of a full-height drive are valuable.
A native SFF-8644 SAS interface connects directly to a compatible SAS HBA, and Symply includes a 2m SAS cable.
LTO-9 media provides 18TB native / 45TB compressed capacity; the full-height LTO-9 drive also reads and writes LTO-8 media. The full-height mechanism delivers native throughput up to 400MB/s. LTO-8 read/write is supported for migration workflows.
LTFS enables file-based tape workflows, while AES-256 hardware encryption and LTO WORM media support provide secure options for long-term, non-rewritable and offline retention.
Symply specifies a 250,000-hour MTBF at 100% duty cycle, 100,000 MSBF and 300,000 cartridge load/unload cycles for its full-height LTO mechanisms.
The all-metal chassis measures approximately 30 × 21.1 × 13.6cm and weighs around 5.8kg, with an integrated power supply, premium cooling and Kensington T-Bar physical-security support.
For LTO-9, Symply recommends 15–25°C operating temperature and 20–50% non-condensing relative humidity for tape operation.
The system supports LTFS and leading archive/backup platforms including Archiware P5, Hedge Canister, YoYotta, XenData, Veeam, Veritas NetBackup, Commvault, IBM Spectrum Protect, Arcserve, Retrospect, Bacula and Bareos. Data and cleaning cartridges are included, and the product carries a 3-year Advanced Replacement warranty with an optional extension.

Generally, next working day delivery services (UK Mainland) are available on standard Symply Delivery orders placed before 2 pm (subject to stock availability).
