Each PCIe slot has its own Thunderbolt 5 interface, enabling two demanding DV I/O or other professional cards to operate through separate host connections. Sonnet specifies up to 6000 MB/s PCIe bandwidth per slot with suitable M4 Pro Mac mini connections.
The system also provides front power controls, SSD storage space, a 400W expansion-module power supply, dual auxiliary PCIe power and quiet Noctua cooling.

The Sonnet xMac mini (2024+) / Echo II DV T5 System (XMM-SYS-IIDV-T5) integrates one or two 2024+ Mac minis with two independent Thunderbolt 5 PCIe expansion paths in a rugged 2U rackmount chassis.
The Echo II DV T5 module provides two x16 mechanical, x4 electrical PCIe 4.0 slots. Each slot has its own Thunderbolt 5 interface, allowing two bandwidth-intensive cards to operate independently rather than sharing one Thunderbolt PCIe path.
With suitable independent Thunderbolt 5 host connections, Sonnet specifies up to 6000 MB/s PCIe bandwidth to each slot on M4 Pro Mac mini systems. Thunderbolt 4-equipped M4 models support lower per-slot bandwidth.
The integrated xMac mini module securely houses one or two 2024+ Mac minis with front power controls, front USB-C access to the rear computer, cable passthroughs and storage space for two compact SSDs.
The PCIe expansion module includes a 400W power supply, two auxiliary 75W PCIe power connections and dual temperature-controlled Noctua fans rated around 17 dBA.
The steel enclosure is 19 inches wide, 16.5 inches deep and 2U high, with included extension rails for rack depths from 16 to 24 inches.
