The SymplyPRO XTH LTO-9 HH SAS Tape Drive combines a compact all-metal desktop enclosure with Symply's dual-bay SymplyCABLELESS architecture. It is intended for professional backup, archive and offline data-protection workflows that need the simplicity of direct SAS today with a clear path to a second LTO drive later.
The chassis ships with one half-height LTO-9 mechanism and supports a second compatible half-height drive. SymplyCABLELESS is designed to make drive servicing, replacement and expansion quick, while allowing the enclosure to remain in service as requirements grow.
A rear SFF-8644 interface connects the XTH directly to a compatible SAS HBA. Symply supplies a premium 2m SAS cable, allowing straightforward deployment with supported Windows, Linux and macOS systems.
Each LTO-9 cartridge provides 18TB native / 45TB compressed capacity using the standard 2.5:1 compression assumption, with native drive throughput up to 300MB/s.
LTFS support enables familiar file-based tape workflows. AES-256 hardware encryption and LTO WORM media support secure long-term retention, compliance and offline archive strategies.
The enclosure measures approximately 30 × 21.1 × 13.6cm and weighs around 5.6kg. It uses a rugged metal-alloy chassis, integrated premium PSU, active cooling and a Kensington security provision.
SymplyPRO SAS is compatible with leading LTO backup/archive software including Veeam, Veritas NetBackup, Commvault, IBM Spectrum Protect, Arcserve, Retrospect, Bacula, Bareos, Archiware P5, Hedge Canister, YoYotta and XenData. The package includes a data cartridge, cleaning cartridge, 2m SAS cable, SymplyLOCK, power cable and 3-year Advanced Replacement warranty.

Generally, next working day delivery services (UK Mainland) are available on standard Symply Delivery orders placed before 2 pm (subject to stock availability).
