An LTO-10 full-height drive stores 30TB native on standard LTO-10 cartridges, or 40TB native on Enterprise (Aramid) media. LTO-10 is not backwards compatible with LTO-9 tape. Native throughput is up to 400MB/s per drive. Designed for LTFS archiving, WORM retention and AES-256 hardware encryption.

The SymplyPRO Rackmount 2U Gen2 LTO-10 FH Ethernet / iSCSI Tape Drive combines a professional 2U rack-ready enclosure with one installed LTO-10 full-height tape mechanism. A second compatible full-height drive may be added later using the purpose-built SymplyCABLELESS™ upgrade architecture, providing a practical upgrade path without replacing the chassis.
Dual 10GbE iSCSI SFP+ data ports connect the full-height LTO drive over a suitable Ethernet network, with a separate GbE management port and an SFF-8644 SAS expansion connection.
Standard LTO-10 media provides 30TB native/75TB compressed per cartridge; Enterprise Aramid LTO-10 media provides 40TB native/100TB compressed. LTO-10 mechanisms read and write LTO-10 media only, and cannot use LTO-9 tapes. Full-height native throughput is up to 400MB/s per drive, with compressed transfer figures depending on the compressibility of the data.
LTFS compatibility supports file-based tape workflows, while WORM media and AES-256 hardware encryption provide options for retention and data protection. Correct host connectivity, software and compatible cartridges should be selected to match the archive environment.
The 2U enclosure measures 43.5 × 48.2 × 8.8 cm and includes front-to-back cooling and an internal power supply. It is supplied with one full-height tape drive fitted, with space for a second compatible module.
