It supports compatible full-length double-width graphics cards and can also house other Thunderbolt-compatible PCIe cards. Current Windows systems with Thunderbolt 5, 4 or 3 are supported; on Mac, conventional eGPU use is limited to compatible Intel models.

The Sonnet eGPU Breakaway Box 750ex (GPU-750WEX-TB3) is a Thunderbolt external GPU and PCIe expansion enclosure designed to add high-performance desktop graphics or another demanding PCIe card to a compatible computer.
The chassis provides a single x16 PCIe 3.0 slot for compatible full-length, double-width graphics cards. Its 750W power supply supports cards requiring up to 375W continuous power plus an additional 100W peak, subject to Sonnet's card-compatibility requirements.
Sonnet's current specifications support Windows 11 computers with Thunderbolt 5, Thunderbolt 4 or Thunderbolt 3 ports, allowing the established 750ex enclosure to remain useful with modern Windows hosts.
Only compatible Intel Macs support conventional eGPU graphics cards. Apple Silicon and Intel Macs can use the chassis with supported non-GPU PCIe cards, but M-series Macs do not provide normal macOS eGPU acceleration.
The 750ex adds four USB-A 5Gbps ports plus a Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 connection through the same Thunderbolt link used by the installed PCIe card.
The Thunderbolt host connection can provide up to 85W upstream power to a compatible notebook, reducing the need for a separate laptop power adapter.
A large variable-speed, temperature-controlled fan provides airflow for power-hungry cards while remaining suitable for professional editing, audio and studio environments.

Generally, next working day delivery services (UK Mainland) are available on standard Sonnet Technology Delivery orders placed before 2 pm (subject to stock availability).
Non-timed deliveries should be delivered between 9 am and 6 pm.
