The OWC Flex 1U4 is a rackmount workflow platform that combines flexible high-speed storage, a seven-port Thunderbolt dock and PCIe expansion in a compact 1U chassis. This 0TB enclosure is supplied without drives, ready for a custom mix of compatible SATA, SAS or U.2/NVMe storage.
Four quick-access bays support 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch SATA drives and U.2 NVMe storage. SAS drives can also be used when a compatible PCIe SAS controller is installed. The two left bays provide x4 PCIe lanes while the remaining two provide x1 lane each.
Dual Thunderbolt 3 ports provide 40Gb/s host connectivity and daisy-chaining. The rear panel also provides two USB-C 10Gb/s ports, three USB-A 10Gb/s ports and DisplayPort 1.4, with up to 85W host charging from the upstream Thunderbolt port.
A PCIe x16 mechanical slot operating at PCIe 3.0 x4 supports compatible half-length, full-height, single-width capture, audio, networking, storage and I/O cards. GPUs are not supported.
OWC SoftRAID supports RAID 0, 1, 4, 5 and 1+0 (10), plus JBOD workflows, allowing the storage layout to be tuned for speed, resilience or capacity.
Flex 1U4 includes rack hardware for 19-inch to 26-inch racks and a certified Thunderbolt cable. OWC quotes real-world storage performance up to 2,750MB/s with suitable configurations.

Generally, next working day delivery services (UK Mainland) are available on standard OWC Delivery orders placed before 2 pm (subject to stock availability).
Non-timed deliveries should be delivered between 9 am and 6 pm.
Orders placed after 2 pm on Fridays and weekends will be processed as normal the following Monday.
