The OWC Express 1M2 40G - 1TB combines a high-speed USB4 enclosure with a factory-installed 1TB NVMe M.2 SSD, providing a compact ready-to-use storage solution for demanding creative and production workflows.

Its USB4 40Gb/s architecture is designed to maximise performance on current USB4 and Thunderbolt-equipped systems while remaining usable with compatible lower-bandwidth USB-C connections.

This exact OWCUS4EXP1MT01 configuration is supplied with 1TB of installed NVMe M.2 storage, avoiding the need to source and install a separate SSD.

Up To 3836MB/s USB4 Performance

OWC specifies real-world Express 1M2 performance of up to 3836MB/s when connected to a suitable USB4 40Gb/s or Thunderbolt 4 PC host. Actual performance varies with host platform, workload and connection type.

Wide Host Compatibility

The Express 1M2 is compatible with USB4, Thunderbolt 5, Thunderbolt 4, Thunderbolt 3 and supported USB-C devices. It automatically operates at the maximum speed available from the connected host interface.

Passive Aluminium Thermal Design

Portable Bus-Powered Operation

The Express 1M2 receives both power and data through its USB-C connection, so no separate power adapter is required. A 0.3m USB-C 40Gb/s cable is included.
