The Areca ARC-8050T5U-24R is a 4U, 24-bay Thunderbolt 5 rackmount RAID storage system designed for high-resolution media production and enterprise-class storage use. It pairs a hardware RAID controller and ECC-protected cache with Thunderbolt 5 connectivity for low-latency, high-bandwidth workflows.
This model is built to handle sustained multi-stream HD and dual 6K workflows while offering controller-level encryption, SED support and options for cache backup to protect in-flight data.
Performance Architecture
At its core the ARC-8050T5U-24R uses a dual-core ARM A15 1.6GHz RAID-on-Chip (ROC) and 8GB DDR4-2666 SDRAM with ECC protection to deliver true hardware RAID processing and high sustained throughput for demanding workloads.
Connectivity
Connection options include 2 x Thunderbolt 5 ports and 1 x DisplayPort. The Thunderbolt 5 interface provides the highest-capacity USB-C link available on this product and the unit ships with a 1m active Thunderbolt™ 5 (USB-C) cable.
Drive Support and Expansion
The chassis accepts 24 x 3.5"/2.5" drives (12Gb/s SAS or 6Gb/s SATA) and offers an SFF-8644 expansion port to attach additional SAS expanders for larger deployments.
RAID and Data Protection
Hardware RAID is provided with support for RAID 0, 1, 1E, 3, 5, 6, 10, 30, 50, 60, Single Disk or JBOD. Features include online migration, global/local hot spares and background initialization for availability.

Areca Technology Delivery Information
In general, next working day delivery services (UK Mainland) are available on Areca equipment orders placed before 2pm (subject to stock availability).
We kindly advise you let us preconfigure each Areca RAID (as RAID5, RAID6 etc), so they arrive properly setup, ready to “plug’n’play”.
This is a free service, and takes 1-2 days prior to shipping.
Non-timed deliveries should be delivered between the hours of 9am and 6pm.
Orders placed after 2pm on Fridays and on weekends will be processed as normal the following Monday.
Orders placed on Bank Holidays will be processed the next working day.
