OWC ThunderBay Flex 8 is a three-in-one Thunderbolt workflow platform combining high-capacity storage, a professional dock and PCIe expansion in a single desktop chassis. This 0TB enclosure is supplied without drives for user-selected storage.
All eight bays support 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch SATA storage, while the top four bays can also accept U.2 NVMe SSDs or compatible adapters. OWC quotes up to 192TB capacity and real-world transfer speeds up to 2,750MB/s depending on the drive and RAID configuration.
Two Thunderbolt 3 ports provide 40Gb/s connectivity and daisy-chaining, with up to 85W host charging. The chassis also provides one USB-C 10Gb/s port, two USB-A 10Gb/s ports and DisplayPort 1.4 for displays up to 8K.
Front-mounted SD UHS-II and CFexpress Type B card readers provide direct ingest for professional photo and video workflows, with CFexpress performance up to 985MB/s.
A half-length, full-height, single-width PCIe 3.0 slot provides an x16 mechanical connector with x4 electrical lanes, supporting compatible capture, networking, audio, storage and I/O cards.
OWC SoftRAID supports RAID 0, 1, 4, 5 and 10 as well as JBOD, giving the system flexibility for performance, capacity and data protection.

Generally, next working day delivery services (UK Mainland) are available on standard OWC Delivery orders placed before 2 pm (subject to stock availability).
Non-timed deliveries should be delivered between 9 am and 6 pm.
Orders placed after 2 pm on Fridays and weekends will be processed as normal the following Monday.
Orders placed on Bank Holidays will be processed the next working day.
