The ARC-8050T5U-12R is a 12-bay 2U rackmount Thunderbolt 5 SAS/SATA hardware RAID array designed for professional video and data workflows requiring high throughput, strong data protection and simple management.
It combines a hardware RAID-on-chip, ECC-protected on-board cache and dual Thunderbolt 5 ports to deliver fast, low-latency storage for Mac and PC hosts while providing enterprise-class features such as controller-level encryption and redundant power.
Performance
Hardware RAID is driven by a Dual Core ARM A15 1.6GHz ROC and 8GB DDR4-2666 SDRAM with ECC protection to offload parity and rebuild work from the host and sustain multi-stream editing workloads.
Connectivity
The unit provides Thunderbolt 5 x 2 ports and a Display Port for host and display connections, and includes a 1m 120Gb/s active Thunderbolt™ 5 (USB-C) cable for immediate use.
Capacity And Expansion
The 2U chassis accepts up to 12 x 3.5"/2.5" 12Gb/s SAS or 6Gb/s SATA HDDs/SSDs and offers an SFF-8644 expansion port to extend capacity up to 512 drives with appropriate expanders.
Security
Controller-level hardware encryption is supported without host performance impact and the controller supports 128- and 256-bit AES keys or password-based keys; the unit also supports self-encrypting drives (SEDs) and SED-based protection workflows.
Management
System configuration and monitoring can be done locally via the front LCD, through in-band Thunderbolt management, or out-of-band via the RJ-45 Ethernet port using the web-based McRAID storage manager or ArcSAP quick manager.

Areca Technology Delivery Information
In general, next working day delivery services (UK Mainland) are available on Areca equipment orders placed before 2pm (subject to stock availability).
We kindly advise you let us preconfigure each Areca RAID (as RAID5, RAID6 etc), so they arrive properly setup, ready to “plug’n’play”.
This is a free service, and takes 1-2 days prior to shipping.
Non-timed deliveries should be delivered between the hours of 9am and 6pm.
Orders placed after 2pm on Fridays and on weekends will be processed as normal the following Monday.
Orders placed on Bank Holidays will be processed the next working day.
