Its RJ45 interface supports 10Gb/s plus NBASE-T 5Gb/s and 2.5Gb/s link rates, allowing multi-gigabit networking over existing Cat 5e or better cabling where compatible network infrastructure is used.

The Sonnet Solo10G PCIe Card is a low-profile 10 Gigabit Ethernet adapter for professional shared-storage, media and high-bandwidth network workflows.
The single RJ45 port supports 10GBASE-T together with 5GBASE-T, 2.5GBASE-T, 1000BASE-T and 100BASE-TX. Sonnet specifies 10GbE operation up to 100 metres with Cat 6A cabling and up to 55 metres with Cat 6, while lower NBASE-T speeds can operate over Cat 5e or better cabling up to 100 metres with compatible equipment.
The card uses a PCI Express 3.0 x4 interface and includes both full-height and low-profile mounting brackets. It can also be used in compatible Sonnet Thunderbolt-to-PCIe expansion systems.
The Marvell AQC107S controller supports flow control, receive-side scaling, interrupt coalescing, multicast filtering, Energy-Efficient Ethernet and hardware offloads including TCP, UDP and IPv4 checksum offloading, TSO and LRO.
Audio Video Bridging is supported with compatible AVB switches or routers. Maximum packet size is 16,352 bytes, with 9,000-byte jumbo frames supported under macOS.
Sonnet provides current support documentation for compatible Mac Pro, Windows, Windows Server, Linux and Thunderbolt-expansion-system installations.
