Built to balance capacity, reliability and throughput, this 48TB configuration combines hot-swappable bays, dual Thunderbolt 3 connectivity and field-serviceable components to keep projects moving with minimal interruption.
This listing is for the SPARK 8-Bay configured with 48TB of storage across eight hot-swap drives. RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10 and JBOD are supported so users can select an appropriate balance of performance and protection.
The SPARK 8-Bay is specified with real-world speeds in the 900-1300MB/s range for the 8-bay model, and uses Thunderbolt 3 to deliver high throughput and low latency for heavy media operations.
Two Thunderbolt 3 ports (2 x Thunderbolt 3 with Device Charging) provide the primary host interface, permit daisy-chaining of peripherals and supply device charging where supported.
Drives are hot-swappable and the chassis is engineered for field serviceability so HDDs, fans and power supplies can be replaced without returning the system to a depot; an optional SymplySAM kit is available for guided on-site maintenance.
The SPARK 8-Bay uses a compact metal-alloy chassis (150 x 240 x 318 mm) with a carry handle and is rated as whisper quiet at under < 40dB, making it suitable for desktop and studio environments.
An optional 4RU rackmount kit converts the desktop unit to a rack-mounted solution in under five minutes with extendable rails; a high-quality wheeled transport case is also available for secure location work.
The unit ships with a premium 2m (6.5ft) Active Thunderbolt 3 cable, SymplyLOCK aluminium cable lock, power cable and is supported by a 5-Years warranty plus free lifetime online support from Symply-trained media professionals.
