Sonnet Echo SE I T5 is a single-slot Thunderbolt 5 to PCIe card expansion system that lets you attach a pro PCIe card to Macs, Windows PCs, and Linux computers with Thunderbolt or USB4 ports.
Its compact, rugged aluminium enclosure includes an auxiliary power connector, a Thunderbolt 5 cable, and a ThunderLok connector lock so users can run many Thunderbolt-compatible, non‑GPU PCIe cards at near-maximum performance.
Echo SE I T5 supports one x8 mechanical (x4 electrical) PCIe 4.0 slot for a half-length+ PCIe card (maximum 7.75 inches long), full-height, single-width, plus one daughter card, enabling connection of video capture/playback, audio interfaces, multiport Ethernet, RAID controllers, and other pro cards.
The enclosure provides 6000 MB/s of bi-directional PCIe bandwidth to the installed card, improving performance for high-bandwidth adapters when connected to a compatible host.
Equipped with a dual-port Thunderbolt 5 interface, Echo SE I T5 supports 80 Gbps of bi-directional data speed and up to 120 Gbps for higher display bandwidth, while the second port allows daisy-chaining of additional Thunderbolt or USB devices.
A universal 60W (100-240V, 50-60 Hz) power adapter powers the enclosure; an internal 6-pin Mini-Fit connector provides supplemental power to demanding PCIe cards, and the secondary Thunderbolt port provides 15W to connected bus-powered peripherals.
The desktop enclosure measures 3.0 x 11.13 x 5.75 in. (8.5 x 28.3 x 14.6 cm), weighs 2.5 lbs (1.13 kg), and uses a temperature-controlled, variable-speed fan for near‑noiseless cooling inside a rugged aluminium housing.
