OWC Express 4M2 Ultra is a Thunderbolt 5 (80Gb/s) NVMe RAID storage solution configured with 4TB of NVMe storage and SoftRAID management.
The unit ships with NVMe SSDs installed and RAID-configured so it can be connected and used immediately in professional production workflows.
With Thunderbolt 5 (80Gb/s) connectivity the Express 4M2 Ultra can deliver up to 6622MB/s real-world performance when used with PCIe 4.0 and later SSDs; when connected to Thunderbolt 4/USB4 hosts the device can reach up to 3200MB/s, and Intel Thunderbolt 3 systems can see up to 2800MB/s.
This SKU is supplied with 4TB of installed NVMe storage. The enclosure supports up to 8.0TB per drive for 32TB total in a single unit and can expand to 128TB as one volume by daisy chaining additional Express 4M2 Ultra units.
Engineered for NVMe M.2 2280 and 2242 SSDs, the Express 4M2 Ultra accepts single- or double-sided PCIe 3.0, 4.0 and 5.0 drives.
The product supports RAID 0, 1, 4, 5, 10 and JBOD volumes when used with SoftRAID or other RAID utilities; it ships RAID-configured and includes SoftRAID Premium for advanced monitoring and predictive health alerts for 3 Years.
The enclosure provides two Thunderbolt 5 (80Gb/s) ports and includes a Thunderbolt 5 80Gb/s cable; the second Thunderbolt 5 port supports daisy chaining up to five additional Thunderbolt devices plus one USB peripheral.
The Express 4M2 Ultra works with Thunderbolt 5, Thunderbolt 4, USB4 Macs and PCs as well as Thunderbolt 3 Macs to maintain broad workstation compatibility.
The solid aircraft-grade aluminum body provides passive cooling and protection while a smart adaptive fan quietly activates only during sustained workloads to avoid noise and thermal throttling.

Generally, next working day delivery services (UK Mainland) are available on standard OWC Delivery orders placed before 2 pm (subject to stock availability).
Non-timed deliveries should be delivered between 9 am and 6 pm.
Orders placed after 2 pm on Fridays and weekends will be processed as normal the following Monday.
Orders placed on Bank Holidays will be processed the next working day.
