OWC Envoy Ultra – 8TB Product Overview
OWC Envoy Ultra - 8TB is a Thunderbolt 5 Portable NVMe SSD offering 8TB of capacity and Over 6000MB/s transfer speeds for external storage that approaches internal performance.
Designed for mobile professionals and creatives, the Envoy Ultra combines high sustained throughput, rugged ingress protection, and a bus-powered, built-in cable for immediate deployment on location.
Performance
Thunderbolt 5 delivers Over 6000MB/s on compatible hosts. When connected to Thunderbolt 4 the drive achieves Over 2800MB/s up to 3800MB/s, on Thunderbolt 3 it can reach Up to 2800MB/s (Mac only), and on USB4 it delivers Over 3800MB/s. Initial data rates of over 6000MB/s are available for continuous data write.
Compatibility
OWC Envoy Ultra works with Macs, PCs, iPad Pros, Chromebooks, and Surface devices. PCs, Chromebooks, and Surface devices require a Thunderbolt 4, Thunderbolt 5, or USB4 port to use Envoy Ultra.
Rugged Design
The unit is crushproof, dustproof and IP67 waterproof rated and is waterproof for up to 30 minutes at < 1 meter; the connector/plug end of the built-in Thunderbolt cable is not waterproof and must be dry/clean before connecting Envoy Ultra to a machine or device.
Cooling And Power
A fanless, heat-dissipating aluminum design provides passive thermal management while the drive remains bus-powered via its built-in Thunderbolt cable for use without external power.
Software And Remote Access
Envoy Ultra ships Apple File System (APFS) formatted for plug-and-play use with Mac and iPad Pro systems, and includes 2 Strada licenses for 90 days (a $180 value) to enable remote team access, sharing, and review without cloud uploads. OWC Drive Guide is available to reformat the drive for Windows, and OWC MacDrive is available separately for interoperability.

OWC Delivery Information
Generally, next working day delivery services (UK Mainland) are available on standard OWC Delivery orders placed before 2 pm (subject to stock availability).
Non-timed deliveries should be delivered between 9 am and 6 pm.
Orders placed after 2 pm on Fridays and weekends will be processed as normal the following Monday.
Orders placed on Bank Holidays will be processed the next working day.
