The HPE Ultrium Universal Cleaning Cartridge is designed for routine cleaning of supported HPE LTO Ultrium tape drives and tape libraries.
HPE product number C7978A uses the standard LTO Ultrium cleaning-cartridge format and is intended to help remove debris from the tape path and read/write head when a drive requests cleaning.

Universal HPE LTO Cleaning Media
C7978A is HPE's universal LTO Ultrium cleaning cartridge. HPE support documentation lists it for supported HPE Ultrium tape drives and tape libraries, including current library generations where the cartridge is supported.
Use Only When Requested
LTO drives monitor their own cleaning requirements. The cartridge should be used when the drive or library indicates that cleaning is required, rather than as an arbitrary scheduled data-tape replacement.

The cartridge is orange for clear visual distinction from normal rewritable and WORM data cartridges.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise Delivery Information
Generally, next working day delivery services (UK Mainland) are available on standard Hewlett Packard Enterprise Delivery orders placed before 2 pm (subject to stock availability).
