Hedge Canister – Lifetime Licence Option – Product Overview
The Rent a Raid supplier catalogue offers a distinct product described as Hedge Canister Lifetime. The underlying Canister application supports professional LTO tape archiving on macOS and Windows, including tape cataloguing, verification and selective retrieval.
What Lifetime Means
Hedge already describes its standard Canister licences as perpetual, so the supplier's separate Lifetime option should not be assumed to include lifetime software updates, unlimited activations or premium Canister Pro capabilities. Those specific entitlements need confirmation before the product can be offered for sale.
Canister Software Workflows
Once the exact licence package is confirmed, Canister's published functions include drag-and-drop LTFS archiving, queuing, tape spanning, catalogues and verification. Compatible LTO drive hardware is purchased separately.
