The SymplyPRO XTL 24 – LTO-7 is the step up from XTL 8 for workflows that need substantially more media capacity and future dual-drive capability without moving to a modular expansion library.
The 2U chassis provides 24 active cartridge slots and supports one or two half-height LTO drives with native SAS or Fibre Channel connectivity. The verified LTO-7 configurations offered here include one half-height drive. Each LTO-7 cartridge provides 6TB native / 15TB compressed capacity, giving up to 144TB native / 360TB compressed across 24 slots, with native throughput up to 300MB/s per drive.
Choose 6Gb SAS via SFF-8088 or 8Gb Fibre Channel. Tape drive(s) and library robotics are exposed as separate LUNs, so the host HBA or initiator must support multiple-LUN discovery.
Two front-removable 12-cartridge magazines, a dedicated mail slot and integrated barcode reader streamline bulk loading, controlled media exchange, inventory management and off-site tape rotation.
Native SAS/FC configurations can support a second half-height drive. With two drives fitted, XTL 24 can support up to two logical library partitions for flexible host and workflow separation.
Symply supports optional XTL Ethernet and Thunderbolt interface modules for the XTL 24. These modules occupy the upper drive bay and therefore limit the chassis to one tape drive while installed.
Front-panel controls and a secure browser interface provide inventory, health, event logs, diagnostics and firmware management, with email/SNMP alerts. AES-256 hardware encryption, LTO WORM and LTFS support provide options for secure long-term and offline retention.

Generally, next working day delivery services (UK Mainland) are available on standard Symply Delivery orders placed before 2 pm (subject to stock availability).
