The SymplyPRO XTL 8 LTO-9 combines eight automated tape slots and one half-height LTO-9 drive in a compact 1U chassis, making it a strong fit for unattended backup, archive and offline-retention workflows where rack space is limited.

The SymplyPRO XTL 8 LTO-9 delivers current-generation LTO-9 automation in the smallest chassis in the XTL range. It is intended for users who want higher cartridge capacity than LTO-8 without moving to a larger 2U, 3U or 6U tape library.
The 1U library contains eight tape slots, one half-height LTO-9 drive, two removable magazines and a dedicated import/export mail slot. LTO-9 stores 18TB native / 45TB compressed per cartridge, providing up to 144TB native / 360TB compressed across a fully populated XTL 8. The half-height LTO-9 drive operates at up to 300MB/s native throughput.
This generation uses 12Gb SAS via SFF-8644 or 8Gb Fibre Channel. The library exposes the drive and robotic medium changer through separate LUNs, so multiple-LUN discovery must be enabled on the host HBA/initiator. Day-to-day control is available from the front panel and secure browser interface, including media movement, inventory and health reporting, diagnostics, event logs, remote firmware updates and email/SNMP alerting.
AES-256 hardware encryption, LTO WORM media, LTFS support and removable magazines make the XTL 8 useful for both operational backup and offline/archive workflows. Choose XTL 8 LTO-9 when you want the highest-capacity half-height XTL 8 configuration; choose XTL 24 when you need 24 slots, room for a second half-height drive or integrated bridge options.

Generally, next working day delivery services (UK Mainland) are available on standard Symply Delivery orders placed before 2 pm (subject to stock availability).
Non-timed deliveries should be delivered between 9 am and 6 pm.
