The SanDisk Professional PRO-G40 SSD 2TB (SDPS31H-002T-GBC1D) combines high-speed NVMe storage with Thunderbolt 3 and USB 3.2 Gen 2 connectivity in a compact, rugged portable enclosure.
High-Speed Thunderbolt 3 Performance
Sandisk specifies transfer speeds up to 3000MB/s read and 2500MB/s write over Thunderbolt 3. USB 3.2 Gen 2 operation is specified up to 1050MB/s read and 1000MB/s write. Actual performance varies with host hardware, workload and operating conditions.
exFAT For Cross-Platform Workflows
This GBC1D worldwide model is supplied pre-formatted in exFAT for use across compatible macOS and Windows systems. It can be reformatted to APFS where a Mac-only workflow is preferred.
Dual-Mode Connectivity
The USB-C connector supports Thunderbolt 3 at 40Gbps and USB 3.2 Gen 2 at 10Gbps, allowing the drive to move between Thunderbolt and USB-C systems without a separate enclosure.
Rugged Field Design
The PRO-G40 enclosure carries an IP68 dust- and water-resistant rating and is designed for up to 3 m drop protection and 4,000 lb crush resistance under Sandisk's stated test conditions.
Thermal Management

SanDisk Professional Delivery Information
Generally, next working day delivery services (UK Mainland) are available on standard SanDisk Professional Delivery orders placed before 2 pm (subject to stock availability).
Non-timed deliveries should be delivered between 9 am and 6 pm.
Orders placed after 2 pm on Fridays and weekends will be processed as normal the following Monday.
Orders placed on Bank Holidays will be processed the next working day.
