The Sonnet Presto 10G SFP+ 2-Port PCIe Card is the Intel-based dual-port 10 Gigabit Ethernet adapter identified by Sonnet part number G10E-SFP-2XA-E2 and later described as the Twin10G SFP+ PCIe Card.
It provides two SFP+ network interfaces for fibre, compatible copper transceivers or direct-attach cabling. Current Sonnet documentation states that cards sold from May 2023 ship with two 10GBASE-SR short-range transceivers pre-installed.

Sonnet Presto 10G SFP+ 2-Port PCIe Card – Product Overview
The Sonnet Presto 10G SFP+ 2-Port PCIe Card is Sonnet part number G10E-SFP-2XA-E2, an Intel 82599-based dual-port 10GbE adapter subsequently marketed as the Twin10G SFP+ PCIe Card.
Its two SFP+ sockets provide flexible connectivity for optical fibre, compatible 10GBASE-T SFP+ modules or direct-attach copper cabling, making it well suited to high-throughput shared storage and media networks.
Dual 10 Gigabit Ethernet Ports
Both SFP+ interfaces support 10Gb/s Ethernet connectivity. The dual-port design can be used for separate network connections, transparent redundancy or link aggregation where supported by the operating system and network infrastructure.
Current Short-Range Transceivers Included
Sonnet's current exact-product Quick Start Guide states that Twin10G SFP+ cards sold from May 2023 ship with two 10GBASE-SR transceivers pre-installed. This supersedes older documentation that described the transceivers as separately purchased accessories.
Flexible SFP+ Connectivity
With suitable transceivers, the card can connect using LC optical fibre or 10GBASE-T copper. Sonnet also supports direct-attach SFP+ copper cables up to 10 metres, while its compatible RJ45 SFP+ copper modules support Cat 6A connections up to 30 metres.
Intel 82599 Controller
The card uses Intel's 82599 dual-port 10 Gigabit Ethernet controller and supports hardware networking features designed to reduce host CPU overhead during high-throughput transfers.
Jumbo Frames
Sonnet's configuration guidance supports a 9000-byte MTU for jumbo-frame operation, provided the connected switch and server or storage system are also configured appropriately.
PCIe And Thunderbolt Expansion Use
The PCIe 2.0 x8 card installs in an x8 or x16 PCIe slot and is also supported through compatible Sonnet Thunderbolt-to-PCIe expansion systems.

Sonnet Technology Delivery Information
Generally, next working day delivery services (UK Mainland) are available on standard Sonnet Technology Delivery orders placed before 2 pm (subject to stock availability).
Non-timed deliveries should be delivered between 9 am and 6 pm.
Orders placed after 2 pm on Fridays and weekends will be processed as normal the following Monday.
Orders placed on Bank Holidays will be processed the next working day.
