Genuine SymplySPARK XT replacement drive modules using Seagate MACH.2 multi-actuator hard-drive technology. Choose 14TB or 18TB capacity to match the required SymplySPARK XT configuration.
MACH.2 uses two independent actuators within the hard drive to increase parallel read/write capability compared with a conventional single-actuator HDD, helping SymplySPARK XT deliver high-throughput RAID performance while retaining hard-drive capacity and economics.
The SymplySPARK XT Spare MACH.2 Drive Module is the capacity-specific replacement drive family for SymplySPARK XT RAID systems. Two module variants are offered: 14TB and 18TB.
MACH.2 hard drives use two independent actuators inside a single enterprise HDD. Symply uses this technology in SPARK XT to increase drive-level parallelism and deliver substantially higher system throughput than conventional single-actuator HDD arrays.
The 14TB module is part number SYSPK-MS2X8MA14 and the 18TB module is SYSPK-MS2X8MA18. Choose the module that matches the capacity required by the existing SPARK XT RAID configuration.
The module format is designed for the user-serviceable drive bays in SymplySPARK XT, allowing a compatible replacement drive to be exchanged without replacing the complete RAID enclosure.
These are MACH.2 multi-actuator modules for SymplySPARK XT and should not be confused with the conventional 7200 RPM spare-drive family used by standard SymplySPARK systems.
