The SymplyPRO XTL 80 LTO-9 8Gb Fibre Channel tape library is a 6U automated archive system with 80 cartridge slots and one installed full-height LTO-9 tape drive. The host interface is 8Gb Fibre Channel.
Using compatible LTO-9 media, each cartridge has 18TB native / up to 45TB compressed capacity (2.5:1 assumption), providing up to 1440TB native across 80 slots. Designed for managed backup, long-term retention and offline tape archive.

The SymplyPRO XTL 80 LTO-9 is an expandable 6U tape library with 80 cartridge slots in the base module. This exact configuration contains 1 installed full-height LTO-9 drive and native 8Gb Fibre Channel connectivity.
Enterprise tape library capacity
With 80 compatible LTO-9 cartridges loaded, the base library provides up to 1440TB native / 3600TB compressed capacity at an assumed 2.5:1 compression ratio. Native throughput is up to 400MB/s per installed drive. The family accommodates modular expansion beyond the base chassis; these capacities describe only its 80-slot starting module.
Media management, connectivity and security
Automated robotics, removable magazines, barcode inventory and secure library administration support unattended backup and offsite-media rotation. Use the matching 8Gb Fibre Channel host connection and compatible archival software. Hardware encryption, WORM tape and LTFS are supported where the selected media and application permit.
