The SymplyPRO XTL 40 LTO-10 combines an expandable 3U tape library chassis with 40 cartridge slots. This exact configuration contains 1 installed full-height LTO-10 drive and 32Gb Fibre Channel host connectivity.
With 40 compatible LTO-10 cartridges, the base module provides up to 1200TB native / 3000TB compressed total media capacity using a 2.5:1 compression assumption. Native tape throughput is up to 400MB/s per fitted drive. The XTL 40 family supports modular library expansion; the quoted capacity here refers only to the included 40-slot base module.
The system offers robotic media handling, removable magazines, barcode-based inventory and secure library management. Hardware AES-256 encryption, WORM and LTFS depend on compatible tape media and software. LTO-10 drives require LTO-10 media and are not backwards compatible with LTO-9 tapes. Generally, next working day delivery services (UK Mainland) are available on standard Symply Delivery orders placed before 2 pm (subject to stock availability).
