The Sonnet SFP+ Transceiver – Long-Range is a 10GbE optical module for supported Sonnet networking adapters, PCIe cards and compatible third-party equipment.
It supports 10 Gigabit Ethernet links over LC fibre at distances up to 10 kilometres, making it suitable for long-distance network, shared-storage and machine-room connections.
The Sonnet SFP+ Transceiver – 10GBASE-T converts a compatible SFP+ socket into a standard 10GBASE-T RJ45 network port.
It supports 10Gb Ethernet connections over Cat 6A copper cabling at distances up to 100 metres, providing a practical way to connect SFP+-equipped Sonnet adapters and PCIe cards to copper-based switches and storage.
