The Sonnet Echo 5 Thunderbolt 4 Hub (Sonnet part number ECHO-HB5-T4) is a compact powered expansion hub for users who need more Thunderbolt connectivity without the larger port mix of a full dock.
One Thunderbolt 4 port connects to the computer while three independent downstream Thunderbolt 4 ports accept Thunderbolt 4 and Thunderbolt 3 peripherals, Thunderbolt 5 devices at Thunderbolt 4 speeds, USB4 and USB devices, and compatible displays.
Thunderbolt 4 provides up to 40Gbps of interface bandwidth. The separate USB-A port uses USB 3.2 Gen 2 at up to 10Gbps for storage, capture, input and other USB peripherals.
The host port provides up to 85W for charging a compatible laptop. Each downstream Thunderbolt port can provide up to 15W, while the USB-A port supplies up to 7.5W and supports simultaneous charging and syncing.
The downstream ports support Thunderbolt and USB-C displays, with DisplayPort or HDMI displays supported through compatible adapters. Actual display count and resolution depend on the connected computer.
The hub uses an anodised aluminium enclosure and ships with its 100W universal power adapter, power cord and 0.8m Thunderbolt cable.
