The OWC Mercury Pro Optical Drive Enclosure brings full-size 5.25-inch SATA optical drives back to modern desktop workflows through a straightforward USB connection. This MR3UKIT configuration is supplied as an empty enclosure so you can install a compatible CD, DVD or Blu-ray mechanism.
The internal SATA interface supports compatible 5.25-inch optical drives up to 6.77 inches / 17.2cm deep. Media support, read/write speeds and M-DISC or BDXL capability depend on the optical mechanism you install.
The USB 3.2 Gen 1 interface provides 5Gb/s host bandwidth and plug-and-play compatibility with supported Mac and Windows systems.
The aluminium chassis is designed for quiet fanless operation and includes the necessary mounting hardware, USB cable and external power supply for installation and use.
When fitted with a compatible optical mechanism, Mercury Pro can support physical-media backup and archival workflows including CD, DVD, Blu-ray and M-DISC formats according to the installed drive's capabilities.

Generally, next working day delivery services (UK Mainland) are available on standard OWC Delivery orders placed before 2 pm (subject to stock availability).
Non-timed deliveries should be delivered between 9 am and 6 pm.
Orders placed after 2 pm on Fridays and weekends will be processed as normal the following Monday.
Orders placed on Bank Holidays will be processed the next working day.
