The HPE Ultrium LTO-5 Data Cartridge is a standard rewritable LTO-5 Ultrium cartridge designed for backup, archive and offline data-retention workflows.
HPE product number C7975A provides 1.5TB native capacity and up to 3TB compressed capacity using 2:1 data compression.
1.5TB Native Capacity
The cartridge stores 1.5TB natively and up to 3TB with 2:1 compression.
HPE-Published Media Performance
HPE specifies a media read speed of up to 280MB/s for this cartridge when used with compatible LTO hardware.
Metal Particle Media
C7975A uses Metal Particle media with 846m of 12.65mm-wide tape, 6.4µm tape thickness and 1,280 data tracks.
Drive Compatibility
LTO-5 media can be read and written in LTO-5 and LTO-6 drives, and read in LTO-7 drives. It is not compatible with LTO-8, LTO-9 or LTO-10 drives.
Encryption And LTFS
HPE LTO-5 media supports tape-device AES-256 encryption and LTFS workflows when used with compatible drives and software.

This C7975A cartridge is rewritable media. WORM is a separate HPE media SKU/format and is not built into this RW cartridge.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise Delivery Information
Generally, next working day delivery services (UK Mainland) are available on standard Hewlett Packard Enterprise Delivery orders placed before 2 pm (subject to stock availability).
Non-timed deliveries should be delivered between 9 am and 6 pm.
Orders placed after 2 pm on Fridays and weekends will be processed as normal the following Monday.
Orders placed on Bank Holidays will be processed the next working day.
