The Sonnet Echo SE III T5 (ECHO-SE3-T5) adds three PCIe expansion slots to a compatible Thunderbolt-equipped computer in a compact desktop chassis. It is designed for specialist audio, video, storage and networking cards that cannot be fitted inside a laptop or compact workstation.
Three PCIe 3.1 Slots
Three x8 PCIe 3.1 slots accept three full-height, single-width half-length+ cards up to 7.75 inches long, or one double-width card alongside one single-width card. Only Thunderbolt-compatible non-GPU cards are supported.
Thunderbolt 5 Bandwidth
With a suitable Thunderbolt 5 computer and cable, Sonnet specifies up to 3400MB/s aggregate, bi-directional PCIe bandwidth across the expansion slots. The total is shared, not a per-slot performance promise.
Additional Thunderbolt Connectivity
Two Thunderbolt 5 ports provide the computer connection and a downstream connection for another compatible Thunderbolt or USB device, with up to 15W of bus power on the second port.
Power and Installation
The enclosure includes a 6-pin auxiliary PCIe power connection for supported cards. Sonnet supplies a universal power adapter, region-specific power cable, 0.8-metre Thunderbolt 5 cable, ThunderLok-A cable lock and documentation.
Choosing the Correct Sonnet Enclosure
Unlike the larger Echo III T5 Desktop, this SE model supports half-length+ cards only. Confirm full-height, card length, slot width and power compatibility before ordering.

Sonnet Technology Delivery Information
Generally, next working day delivery services (UK Mainland) are available on standard Sonnet Technology Delivery orders placed before 2 pm (subject to stock availability).
Non-timed deliveries should be delivered between 9 am and 6 pm.
Orders placed after 2 pm on Fridays and weekends will be processed as normal the following Monday.
Orders placed on Bank Holidays will be processed the next working day.
